Welcome to November!  Thanks to all the parents and students who attended the Screenagers viewing last month.  We had a great turnout and were glad to be able to use the PW auditorium for the event.  Hopefully, the documentary started (or continued) positive conversations in your homes regarding technology and device use.  Our next major Parent Education event will occur in April; Saleema Noon will come to speak to parents in her role as a sexual health educator.  PAC has also arranged to have Saleema talk to each grade during early April as well.  Stay tuned for more details.  If you have ideas for future parent education topics, please let us know.

Our next PAC meeting will be held on Wed., Nov. 16th at 7pm in the library.  Agenda items will include budget discussions and a vote on how we will spend the direct appeal money you have so generously donated this year.  We will also have a special guest speaker: David Derpak, Principal of Prince of Wales. We encourage everyone to come and find out more about the transition to high school and how our local public high schools have much to offer our children.  Even if you are not in the PW catchment, David can provide valuable information about planning for, and the move to, high school.  He especially encourages parents of children in grades 5-7 to attend.
